A quick overview

Located in the region of Rhône-Alpes, less than 10 km to the north west of Villefranche-sur-Saône and 40 km from Lyons, the community of Blacé, with its 1350 inhabitants, a surface area of 1100 ha and its many little hamlets with their beautiful stone homes, extends from Blaceret plateau (altitude 215 m) to the wood-covered hills of Failly pass (673 ms).

Blacé is a land of contrasts, dynamic and yet a traditional wine-growing commune, ever-developing and yet good living is still a key term, just half an hour from Lyons, and 1:45 from Paris via the high-speed train link connecting to Mâcon-Loché.

  • The inhabitants are known as Blacéens
  • The commune includes 570 ha of vineyards, including 420 which use the "Beaujolais Village" appellation and 150 with the "Beaujolais" appellation (Gamay vines "black seeds with white juice").

Access

  • By road: A6 motorway, "Villefranche Nord" exit.
  • By train: TGV station, Macon-Loché, 30 km away - can be reached by car or using the shuttle service + TGV station, Lyon Part-Dieu, 40 km away.
  • By air: Lyon Saint Exupéry airport, 70 km away
